A 35-year-old Ottawa woman and man were charged with failing to provide the necessaries of life, the OPS said in a statement Monday morning.

The event occurred on October 27, 2021 on the private street Win throp in west Ottawa.
An Ottawa woman and man, both 35 years old, have been charged with default of provide the necessaries of life, the OPS said in a statement Monday morning.
The infant was seven weeks old.
These charges stem from a sixteen-month joint investigation by the Homicide Unit and the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit into the tragic death of one of the most vulnerable members of our community, police say.
The accused both appeared in court last Saturday. They were remanded in custody.
