Behind the wheel of a 1989 Volga, a Ukrainian woman traveled around Europe for three months. She visited Hungary, Slovenia, Monaco, France and Italy.
The video with the Ukrainian Volga in Monaco has become very popular in social networks and collects tens of thousands of views. Focusmanaged to chat with the owner of the car, who made a long rally across Europe on this GAZ-24.
The car belongs to Diana from Poltava. Before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, she studied and worked in Kharkov, but in the spring she had to evacuate to her hometown.
Diana realized that her former life was lost and in order to be in harmony with herself, she decided to go on a trip to Europe in her 1989 Volga in the summer. Before the start, she independently repainted a vintage Soviet car.
At GAZ-24, a Ukrainian woman covered thousands of kilometers and visited Hungary, Slovenia, Monaco, France and Italy. For three months, the Volga passed through Budapest, Nice, Milan, San Remo, visited Provence and La Spezia.
At the end of the run, Diana decided not to stay abroad, but returned to Ukraine, although her acquaintances urged her to stay in Europe. She is ready to travel abroad, but not live there, and her favorite road is not the European autobahns, but the Poltava-Kharkiv highway.
The car is simple and requires minimal knowledge to keep it running. On the way, truckers helped to repair the car. And once, when the GAZ-24 broke down, Diana's father sent a parcel from Ukraine with the necessary spare parts. The Ukrainian woman believes that her “Volga” really has a soul and it would not have been possible to make such a run on another car.
