Entrepreneur and volunteer Volodymyr Sadyk from Storozhynets, Chernivtsi region, has developed a light armored truck for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It has already been put into production and the first copy has been sent to the front. The new model was dedicated to Suspіlna Chernіvtsі.
Vladimir Sadyk has been producing equipment for the army since spring. Immediately after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, he set up the production of military buggies and volunteers have already assembled about 50 of these SUVs.
The volunteer often communicates with the defenders of Ukraine and listens to their needs. At the front, there are not enough small-sized off-road trucks smaller than KrAZ or Ural. Such vehicles can be used to transport personnel, transport ammunition or evacuate the wounded.
This is the vehicle that was developed. He has a non-standard layout with the engine in the center of the wheelbase. The single driver's cab is a protected capsule with 14 mm thick armor and 50 mm bulletproof glass. The roof is hinged and serves as a hatch for boarding and disembarking.
A lightly armored compartment is provided at the back for transporting up to six fighters or cargo. If necessary, a stretcher can be installed there. There is also a mount for installing a machine gun or ATGM “Stugna” or “Korsar”.
