Joe Biden wins in Pennsylvania
Donald Trump's team's claim was dismissed without the right to re-file, the court's decision says.
A district court in the US state of Pennsylvania found no reason to revise the results of voting in the region in the presidential election. Interfax reported about it on Sunday, November 22.
It is indicated that Judge Matthew Brann in Williamsport recognized the arguments of the team of US President Donald Trump, who initiated the lawsuit, “baseless and speculative.” He noted that he has no right to deprive “even one voter of the right to vote, not to mention millions of citizens.”
The court ruling notes that the Trump team's claim was rejected “without the right to re-file.”
Earlier, the US Supreme Court upheld the request of the Republicans in Pennsylvania and ordered the separation of ballots that were sent to polling stations in the state after they closed on November 3. This was announced by the press service of the court on Friday, November 6.
According to media reports, in Pennsylvania, which will give the winner of the presidential election 20 electoral votes, after processing 96% of the ballots, Democrat Joseph Biden is almost 20 thousand votes ahead of his Republican opponent Donald Trump (previously reported a gap of 5.5 thousand votes).
