US-presidential-2020&nbsp ;: charges should be laid

It is unclear whether ex-President Donald Trump will be charged as a result of grand jury proceedings.

In the United States, a grand jury investigating interference from Donald Trump's camp in the 2020 presidential election in the state of Georgia has recommended indictments against several people, the lead juror told US media on Tuesday, without specifying whether the former president was involved.

The grand jury has been busy for seven months examining accusations that Donald Trump and his allies tried to change the results of the presidential election in Georgia, a state in the south of the country, which voted for Joe Biden.

Emily Kohrs told MSNBC that this is not a short list, to discuss the number of people targeted by these grand jury recommendations and the grievances which they are accused of. But the juror did not name names.

Ms. Kohrs also told the outlet that more than a dozen people were targeted. – she added before elaborating: There are names as well that you might not recognize.

Emily Kohrs did not reveal if Donald Trump himself, who recently announced his candidacy for the White House for 2024, was part of this list.

The juror, on the other hand, told the New York Times that people would not be shocked by the jury's revelations. It's not rocket science, she said.

The 23-juror inquest panel received statements from 75 witnesses, including the x27;one of Donald Trump's ex-chiefs of staff in the White House, Mark Meadows, Republican Senator from South Carolina Lindsey Graham, and ex-New York Mayor and former Donald Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

A Georgia judge cleared the release last week of three redacted sections of the grand jury's report, revealing that its members found no evidence of large-scale voter fraud, undermining Donald Trump's claims that the grand jury was found to #x27;election was stolen from him.

Local prosecutor Fani Willis will make the final decision on whether or not to indict those targeted by the grand jury's recommendations.

The investigation was launched after Donald Trump called on January 2, 2021, in which he urged election officials to find the 11,780 votes he needed to win this state against to Joe Biden.

This is one of multiple investigations examining potential criminal wrongdoing by the former Republican president and his relatives, accused of fomenting a plan to stay in power despite the defeat in the pre sidential of 2020.
