Volvo began taking orders for top-end modification of the XC60 T8 Twin Engine, is equipped with a hybrid power unit with possibility of recharge. Customer who bought a car until April 2020, will receive one year of free electricity. The amount of energy consumed will be tracked via the Volvo on Call app.
Volvo XC60 AWD T8 Twin Engine is equipped with two-liter gasoline turbo engine capacity of 320 HP (400 N·m) motor (87 strength, 240 N·m) on the rear axle and an eight “automatic”. Maximum output of the power plant is 407 HP (640 N·m) — in this mode, acceleration to 100 km/h takes 5.3 seconds, but the maximum speed in any case will be limited at around 180 km/h.
Traction battery capacity of 10.4 kWh in this hybrid installed in place of a propeller shaft — so that four-wheel drive is implemented without a physical connection, front and rear axle. Without running the engine, the crossover can travel 43 kilometers, and the average nameplate consumption is 2.3 liters per hundred kilometers.
Hybrid XC60 offered in two models — Inscription (from 83 $ 500) and R-Design (85 $ 400) with “sport” aerodynamic kit. Gasoline modification T6 with 320-horsepower engine in the same performances worth 18 $ 600 cheaper.
