The resolution of the European Parliament recognizes the President of Belarus and officials associated with him guilty of war crimes in Ukraine. All of them should be brought before the international criminal court.

The European Parliament adopted a resolution condemning the involvement of Belarus in the war unleashed by Russia in Ukraine. The text of the document is available on the website of the European Parliament.

President Alexander Lukashenko and state officials associated with him are responsible for war crimes in Ukraine and should be brought before the international criminal court and tribunal.

The resolution calls on the European Council and the European Commission to finalize mechanisms to confiscate the assets of Lukashenka and his family and the immediate environment.

All the resources of the Belarusian regime should be directed to support the victims of its actions and the Belarusian democratic opposition, the document says.

The parliamentarians supported the soldiers of the Kastus Kalinouski regiment and other Belarusian volunteers who support Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggressor.

“Belarus should be recognized as de facto occupied territory, and Russia should immediately withdraw all its military units,” politicians drew attention.

The document approves the actions of the Belarusian democratic opposition and civil society. Lukashenka's attempt to undermine Belarusian culture and Russify the nation is condemned.

The European Parliament called on the EU to support Belarusian independent cultural organizations: theaters, choirs, schools, folklore groups and other initiatives.

Belarus since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, it supports the Russian Federation, its border troops created units of shock drone operators.

Earlier, Russia transferred 40 Shahed-136 Iranian drones to Belarus, and also sent echelons with weapons and military equipment.
