French handball team captain Ludovic Fabregas, who is recovering from stomach flu, remains uncertain for the World Cup quarter-final on Tuesday, January 28 against Egypt in Zagreb, coach Guillaume Gille said on Monday, January 27.

“There is still a bit of uncertainty about Ludo. We are still waiting for the return of some additional tests. Obviously, we hope, but today I cannot be completely reassuring on the subject and tell you that everything is fine”, Gille told the press.

Tuesday against Egypt

“We are waiting for the medical green light to be able to consider the next steps in the operations”, he added. Fabregas had withdrawn from the last match of the main round, without stakes, Saturday against North Macedonia (32-25) in Varazdin (Croatia).
