Ce vendredi 31 janvier 2025, Météo France place encore 3 départements en vigilance rouge ainsi que 5 autres en orange.

Western France has been experiencing significant flooding for almost a week now. The rainfall that fell this Thursday is not helping the water level to drop. Several towns are still completely submerged, including Redon. This Friday morning, Vigi Météo France is still placing several departments on red and orange alert.

“Very high levels”

The 3 departments in red remain unchanged, namely Morbihan, Ille-et-Vilaine and Loire-Atlantique. They are still experiencing flooding, just like the Sarthe, Eure, Seine-Maritime, Oise and Somme on orange alert.

“We are seeing a lull in precipitation that will be favorable to the floods. The rivers on red and orange alert will remain at very high levels, even exceptional at least for the next 24 hours. On the rivers placed on yellow alert, moderate floods are spreading downstream, generating overflows localized”, notes the site Vigicrues.
