2022 was marked by the release of Severanceon Apple TV+. The series created by Dan Erickson and produced by Ben Stiller has been unanimously acclaimed by viewers. With a polished aesthetic, a captivating storyline, exciting themes, masterful staging and excellent actors, Severance is certainly one of the best series of recent years.
It follows Mark Scout, an employee of Lumon Industries who works on confidential projects, so confidential that he had to undergo a rather unusual surgical procedure (like his colleagues). The goal of this operation is to separate professional life from personal life. To put it simply, when Mark arrives at work, he no longer knows who he is outside his office. Similarly, when he goes home, Mark has no idea what he does with his work days. The arrival of Helly R. in the offices of Lumon Industries, who does not understand this dissociation and tries to rebel, upsets the fragile balance of the company.
Dystopian and gloomy, Severance is a gem. Its second season promises to be equally thrilling and captivating, promising a focus on characters outside of Lumon Industries. It will consist of 10 episodes in total. The first two episodes of season 2 of Severance will be available on Friday, January 17, 2025 on Apple TV+. After that, you will have to make do with one episode each week until March 10.
When Netflix arrived in our green lands about ten years ago, its original programs could be counted on the fingers of one or two hands.
