“What attracts me…”: Sophie Davant worried before the start of DALS, sexy outfits are not really her thing

After years of refusing the offer from the production of Dancing with the Stars to participate in the show, Sophie Davant finally accepted. Thus, from February 7, 2025, she will be one of the stars to tread the floor of the famous dance show. On January 16, 2025, for Europe 1, she explained why she had refused until now.

“I was hosting daily shows that didn't give me four to six hours of freedom a day“, she had declared. However, today, she seemed to have more time and wanted to live a new experience. “I like to challenge myself personally. DALS will be an opportunity to prove things to myself myself.”

Sophie Davant does not aim to win the season of Dancing with the Stars

Concerning her ambitions in Dancing with the Stars, William Leymergie's partner explained that she is not in the competition. She does not aim to be the one who could succeed Natasha St-Pier, the last winner of the program. “What motivates me the most is to live up to what I am asked to do and to be proud of myself. I hope to stay as long as possible but I suspect that some younger candidates are better dancers than me“, she confided again.

But above all, she wants to have fun and prove to herself that she is still capable, even at 61, of achieving great physical performances. “I want to move, have fun and have a blast“, she assured. Despite everything, she cannot hide one of her fears concerning the outfits of the show broadcast on TF1. She is worried about having to wear outfits deemed “sexy” and high heels.

Sophie Davant does not want to be “ridiculous” at all

“That's what appeals to me the least. But I'm going to play the game! I hope I can choose the outfits with them. I like being elegant and want to stay that way. I don't want to be ridiculous“, she added. But despite everything, she wants to show that at 60 you can still be sexy.

“I'm quite flattered and proud to be their standard-bearer. I want to show that women in their 60s can remain sexy, likeable, desirable, active and sporty. I want to hold up a mirror to them and say, 'Why not you ?'“, she concluded on the subject.
