The 2022 Mercedes-Benz G-Class has a very non-standard modification. The iconic SUV was prepared for the harsh snowy winters and put on tracks. A video with an unusual car appeared on the Delta 4X4 Youtube channel.
It was the Swiss studio Delta 4X4 that performed the unusual tuning of the Gelendvagen. The caterpillars were installed right in place of the wheels, that is, the SUV has four of them. They are made removable and in the summer the wheels can be returned to the car again.
They were not limited to tracks alone – the clearance of the Mercedes G-Class increased by 20 cm (up to 440 mm), arch extensions and arches appeared in front with an additional lighting engineering. A roof rack was installed. The bumpers have also been slightly modified and underbody protection has been installed.
Based on the new Mercedes G500 with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol with a capacity of 422 hp. with., but in this way they can finalize any version of Gelendvagen. The SUV demonstrates excellent abilities in the snow and easily climbs the mountain slope.
Such tuning of the Gelendvagen turned out to be expensive – the revision will cost 139,000 euros. For comparison, you can buy a Mercedes G500 for 130,200 euros.
