The PSOne, you remember? It's this “mini-PlayStation” launched by Sony in 2000, a few weeks before the arrival in stores of the sacrosanct PlayStation 2. A smaller, lighter, rounder version, which will be marketed until 2006, and which even benefited from an official Sony LCD screen, today very popular with gamers. In 2025, it's RetroRemake which “relaunches” in a way this little PSOne, with its SuperStation One project.
Indeed, specialized in Mister Pi, allowing you to indulge in the joys of retrogaming in FPGA, RetroRemake has opened pre-orders for its SuperStation One, whose case is directly inspired by the small Sony console. And for good reason, the latter promises to read all PlayStation games natively, without the slightest form of emulation therefore, for an absolutely intact experience.
So, at first glance, it's hard not to see the connection between the SuperStation One and the PSOne. The case is similar, there's a Power button and a Menu button (in the absence of the Eject button) on the top, not to mention two ports for memory cards and controllers. Because yes, it will be possible to connect our PSOne memory cards and controllers to the SuperStation One.

The machine comes with a 64 GB microSD card, on which you will have to deposit PlayStation game ROMs. On the connectivity side, the SuperStation One is full with a sort of HDMI of course, but also an RCA output, an RGB output (MegaDrive style), a Component output and even a VGA output.
Practical therefore to connect the beast to the Smart TV of the living room, but also to a monitor or even (and this is undoubtedly the best function for lovers of retrogaming) to a CRT cathode-ray TV. WiFi, or even an NFC chip are also part of it, and everything will be powered via a USB-C cable.
Like the Megadrive in its time, the SuperStation One can be associated with a dock called SuperDock, which will be placed under the machine. The latter integrates a disk reader, an SSD m2 port and four USB ports. Practical to dump its original games into the memory of the machine therefore, and to play them without risk of damaging the precious original CDs. Note that the SuperStation One is compatible with the different Mister cores, which allows it to also read NES, Megadrive, Sega Saturn, Atari ROMs…
In terms of pricing, the SuperStation One was offered in a Founders Edition version at a price of $149. The set is obviously sold out, and those interested can fall back on the classic version, at $179, which will be delivered by the end of the year. Finally, as for the color, the machine will be available in Classic Gray, Black and also in Translucent Blue.
