Wildberries has become a new sponsor of the Moscow football club Spartak. Forbes reports this.
Previously, the club was sponsored by the American brand of sportswear and footwear Nike: the company terminated the contract with the team in May 2022 in connection with the Russian military special operation in Ukraine. The company announced a complete exit from the Russian market and the closure of its stores in the country.
Players will receive equipment from Wildberries with the brand logo.
This is not the first Wildberries sponsorship contract with a sports club: the company acts as a partner of the Ak Bars hockey team, as well as the football clubs Krylya Sovetov, Dynamo Moscow and CSKA. In addition, the Wildberries have their own amateur football team, founded in 2015.
We hope that our modest contribution will contribute to the development of sports in the country, — said the founder of the company and the richest woman in Russia according to Forbes Tatyana Bakalchuk.
