This is news that should make a huge splash. Elon Musk, the whimsical billionaire, already boss of the company Tesla and SpaceX, could well completely buy out his favorite social network Twitter!
We know that Elon Musk and twitter is a great love story. The boss of Tesla is thus quite friendly with the founder of the social network Jack Dorsey, with whom he also shares a strong interest in cryptocurrencies. It’s also on this network that the man of the year 2021 tended to send messages, to shiller the DogeCoin which he greatly helped in its extraordinary rise in prices, and of course to often troll. An attendance that ended up exciting the appetite of the billionaire, whose fortune is – according to the changing prices of the stock exchange – of several hundred billion dollars. We thus learned at the beginning of this month of April that he had bought around 10% of the capital of Twitter. An operation that was apparently only the beginning, since Elon Musk would now like to buy the network… totally!
Buying Twitter for $43 billion would be a fraction of Musk's net worth, but it is probably a lot more cash than he has lying around.
Would he want to sell $55 billion of Tesla stock — the most liquid part of his wealth — to buy Twitter? https://t.co/7ibph2PcRc

Indeed, Elon Musk has just offered to buy 100% of the capital of Twitter, at a price of 54.20 dollars per share, which would make an operation at 41.39 billion dollars. In the document sent to the regulatory authorities, he made it clear that it was “his best offer and his final offer”. He could, in the event of failure of this acquisition, reconsider his position as a shareholder of the firm. It is worth noting that the offer of the richest man in the world is almost 10 dollars per share higher than the company price, which was 45 dollars yesterday. To justify this proposal, he explained that “Since I made my investment, I realized that the company would not prosper and serve its societal imperative in its current form”, especially in terms of freedom of expression.
Elon Musk, Twitter addict
It should be remembered that Elon Musk is a very heavy user of Twitter, where he has 80, 5 million subscribers. He also got into the habit of questioning the public directly, as we could see again recently with a poll on the potential arrival of an “edit” button. It now remains to see the opinion of network users. And you, are you excited about this possible change?
