
Woman found dead in Parc-Extension apartment
The body of a woman in her 60s was discovered in a dwelling in the Montreal district of Parc-Extension on Sunday afternoon.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) was first called to intervene in a neighboring apartment on rue de Liège, near rue Querbes, for an armed scuffle, around 1:30 p.m.

When the police arrived at the scene, they attended to a 23-year-old man who had a serious stab wound to his upper body , said Véronique Dubuc, spokesperson for the SPVM.
The man, who was conscious, was transported to a hospital. Medical authorities have confirmed that he is out of danger.
A 26-year-old woman was arrested at the scene during the armed attack.
The police were still at the scene of the tragedy on Sunday in early evening.
Additional information during the event led to the verification of a second nearby dwelling in which the victim's lifeless body was discovered, said Constable Dubuc.
The police did not specify the cause of the lady's death.
A security perimeter has been established. Investigators from the major crimes section as well as forensic identification technicians are on the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of this event.
