The suspect who allegedly threw a woman from the third floor of a building this weekend in Quebec City faces aggravated assault charge .
Jose Ulises Garcia De Santiago appeared on Sunday evening, by telephone. His case is due back in court on Tuesday for its release inquiry.
At the time of the events, the 21-year-old defendant was the subject of an arrest warrant, for not having appeared in court in another case, involving a another woman.

In February 2022, Garcia De Santiago had been charged with assaulting four people, including an ex-spouse.
A month later, he was charged again, since he allegedly did not respect his conditions of release.
He allegedly harassed his ex-spouse then that he no longer had the right to communicate with her.
His cases were back in court on January 25, but the judge issued a warrant to ;arrest against him, since he was absent during the hearing.
Following the events of the weekend, the police proceeded to arrest him for attempted murder.
After analyzing the case, however, the DPCP chose to bring charges of aggravated assault against Jose Ulises Garcia De Santiago.
The woman who fell from the building on Forest Street suffered serious injuries, but her life is not in danger.
