The largest Pokemon collection in the world goes on sale

There are a host of objects derived from the Pokémon universe.

The largest collection of Pokémon-themed items on the planet will be auctioned off.

A woman from England, who wishes to remain anonymous, has amassed a record number of Pokemon items over the past 25 years, with over 20,000 of them set to be sold on October 18.< /p>

British auction house Hansons estimates that this hardcore Pokémon fan's collection could fetch up to 300,000 euros, or just over 400,000 Canadian dollars.

Catch 'em all!

Listed in the Guinness Book of World Records, the collection has already been displayed at the museum of Hertford as part of a popular culture exhibition.

It includes maps, video games, manga, films, posters, toys, figurines, books and even toilet paper. Items are sourced from the UK, USA, France and Japan.

After more than two decades of trying to catch every Pokemon, the collector has decided to dispose of part of his finds for financial reasons. It does, however, retain some items which have great sentimental value.
