< strong>The high school football girls return in Season 2 of Yellowjackets, which revealed the first images of its new star.

American Football sees up and down in the series made in the USA and we even had the right to lacrosse matches in Teen Wolf. But real football, what Americans call soccer, is also gaining ground with Ted Lassoof course, but also Yellowjackets. The series created and produced by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, two of the screenwriters of Narcos: Mexico and The Originals, has been well received by the press and the public.

Well written, full of influences and formally very well controlled, the first season of Yellowjackets was a success and therefore, we expect a lot from the sequel. The series could very well have run in a single season, but a second season was quickly announced and recently a third was validated by Showtime.

Halfway between His Majesty of the Flies and Lost: The Disappeared, Yellowjacketstells the story of a team of female footballers who, in 1996, find themselves lost in the wilderness after their plane crashes. The survivors will have to wait nineteen months before being rescued. Twenty-five years later, the survivors still seem shaken. The series therefore resorts to temporary round trips between the past and the present and therefore called on a superb cast to interpret the teenage characters and the adult characters.

After the brilliant Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey and Tawny Cypress, respectively Misty, Natalie, Shauna and Taissa, it's the turn of another icon to join the cast,Lauren Ambrose, who will play Vanessa “Van ¬ĽAdult Palmer, always played by Liv Hewson in flashbacks.

In the images unveiled by Entertainment Weekly, we discover Van still marked by the wolf attack suffered during his survival. It's a pleasure to find Lauren Ambrose, memorable interpreter of Claire Fisher in Six Feet Under, of course. More discreet thereafter, she returned to the front of the stage in 2019 with the fantastic (in every sense of the word) Servant, a series produced by M. Night Shyamalan.

At the moment, not much is known on this second season except that it will evoke the present of new characters, like Van therefore. Lauren Ambrose isn't the only new cast member as Jason Ritter and Elijah Wood also joined in Season 2, as did Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi), who performs the adult version of Lottie Matthews.

Season 2 of Yellowjackets will arrive late March 2023 on Showtime. In France, the new season should be broadcast on Canal+ like the first.
