This has certainly happened to you before, you need to quickly scan a document before signing it and then sending it back. The only problem is that you don't have a scanner available, and you don't know which application to download to do the operation from your iPhone. Don't panic, your iPhone natively integrates a rather unknown, but nevertheless particularly practical scanner.

A scanner integrated into our iPhone ? But yes !

Indeed, even though the vast majority of our daily activities are now carried out entirely digitally, we may sometimes be asked to work with physical documents, “the old-fashioned way“. And if you don't have a printer-scanner nearby, which you know how to use at least a little bit, you may tend to panic when faced with this task, which is nevertheless very simple, but which can quickly turn out to be impossible.

In reality, when it comes to scanning a document, all you need to do is grab your iPhone. Indeed, if applications (like Google Photos) offer an excellent scanner mode, this is also the case for iOS for a few years. No third-party application is necessary, since everything goes take place directly from the Notes application. We explain.

To scan a document with your iPhone, you need to:

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000
  • Open the Notes app
  • Start a new note (by clicking the button in the lower right corner).

  • Click on the Camera button (or, on iOS 18, the Paperclip button) then select “Scan Documents“. Note that the option also allows you to attach a file, add an audio recording or scan text.

  • The iPhone will launch the camera, and you will then simply need to scan the desired document(s). capture is done automatically, but it is also possible to trigger it manually.

  • Once the operation is complete, the scanned document is integrated directly into Notes .

The other good news is that in addition to scanning a document, your iPhone also allows you to edit it, for example to add a precious signature. The system also allows you to resize the capture, or even modify its colorimetry. Once the document is completed, simply click on the Share button to send the document via the messaging tool of your choice.
