As reported by the portal “Dobreprogram”, each of us has at least once received a text message from fraudsters who use them to try to rob us. Fraudsters try to deceive us by impersonating, for example, well-known courier companies, informing us about underpayment and withholding of the package. You can get a text message with this content, among others from the number +48667414259.
Fraudsters do not bother
There is probably no one who has not even once received the message in which he was asked for a small fee due for an unpaid package or an overdue bill. As the portal “Dobry program” points out, recently the most popular messages include the words “you have an unpaid package, please pay the amount”.
One of the numbers from which sms are sent with this content is the number +48667414259. However, it is certainly not the only number used by fraudsters. If you receive such a message, under no circumstances should you click on the link attached to it. It is with its help that thieves take control of our bank account.
What to do with such a message?
If we get a message like this, it's safest to just ignore it. Clicking on a link is a simple way to get into trouble. We can use the option available on virtually every telephone – we are talking about blocking the number and adding it to the so-called “black list of contacts”.
It is also important to report a suspicious message for security analysis conducted by CERT Polska. Just send an unchanged message to 799-448-084. It is important that the message is complete, so it is worth using the “forward” or “share” option.
Thanks to our report, the given number, if it is actually a fraud, will be included in the warning list.
