Yv&nbsp ;Bonnier-Viger does not rule out showing up for QS

The regional director of public health, Dr. Yv Bonnier-Viger

The regional director of public health in Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Dr. Yv Bonnier-Viger, does not close the door to run again for Quebec Solidaire (QS).

Without confirming that he will try to win the nomination in the next election in the riding of Gaspé, he assures that, if he chooses to represent QS, he will ask for unpaid leave.

If I ever decide to dive into something like this, I will ask for unpaid leave, and it is from there, so when I am no longer director of public health, that I will announce it , he says.

This way, Yv Bonnier-Viger believes he could focus on a single role.

“I wouldn't want to mix things up, so if I ever run it will be announced in due course. ”

Dr. Bonnier-Viger appeared three times for this party in the riding of Lévis.

Everyone knows that I am a member of Québec solidaire, it was never a hiding place. I have already participated in three elections, he recalls.

Québec solidaire did not want to confirm or deny whether discussions are taking place with Mr. Bonnier-Viger .

So far, QS has recruited two candidates in the region's three ridings: Catherine Cyr-Wright in Bonaventure and Jean-Philippe Déraspe in the Îles-de- la-Madeleine.

In the 2018 provincial election, Alexis Dumont-Blanchet represented QS in Gaspé.

The identity of the next candidate in this constituency will be revealed on August 22.
