In the latest episode of the show “I'm a Celebrity,” the beloved of the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II shared a sweet story about how he met his wife and talked about their unexpected first date. The lovers first met during the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia, namely at the Manly Wharf bar.
“I was at the World Cup, she was watching,” says Mike Tindall. “I got kicked out of the semi-finals. I was pissed off so I went out for a beer with another guy who was also kicked out and a guy who was [in Sydney]. They had met her before, introduced us, and then I had a chat.”< /p>
Their first date was in the form of a lunch at a local establishment. In the end, they both overdid it with alcohol.
“It was a good start,” Tindall admits, adding that the decision to exclude him from the team was the best, because in this way the athlete met his soul mate.< /p>
Mike Tindall and Zara Phillips got engaged in 2010 and married a year later. They had three children – daughters Mia, 8, Lena, 4, and son Lucas, 1.
