Extremely high bills. Users of the Microsoft 365 software suite have discovered a rather mind-boggling increase in their subscription. The Redmond firm has finally responded that it was a bug. Explanations.
The affected customers, who were paying between 7 and 10 euros per month, were thus warned of an upcoming “price change for your Microsoft 365 plan”, reports BFM Tech. Except that this was not a subtle change. According to screenshots consulted by our colleagues, rates between 1000 and 1300 euros per month to use the flagship products of the tech giant such as Word or Excel were mentioned. As for the Family formula of 10 euros, it also went up to 1300 euros.
As one can imagine, a feeling of panic, even dismay, took hold of the consumers concerned. Especially since this is not an isolated phenomenon. Thus, users from Finland, France and Spain have testified to this.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000Finally, a French Internet user was able to reach Microsoft by phone and was able to confirm what many assumed: it is just a display bug linked to the recent price changes made by the technology company. A version that was also confirmed by BFM Tech. Enough to make everyone who has seen these bills breathe a sigh of relief.
This information comes at a particular time for these well-known software programs. Indeed, the Redmond firm has decided to significantly increase the prices of its office suite. In detail, the Microsoft 365 Family offer goes from 99 to 129 euros per year, an increase of 30%. Similarly, the personal subscription jumps from 69 to 99 euros per year, representing an increase of 43%.
The tech giant justifies these developments by the integration of Copilot, its generative AI tool in Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications. The tech giant is thus trying to make its massive investments in this technology profitable. However, this choice has nonetheless made consumers grind their teeth.
