Attentifs, les enfants se sont rassemblés avant les fêtes.

La JSCBA a clôturé l’année en beauté, au centre socioculturel André-Malraux, autour d’un après-midi festif qui a ravi les enfants de l’école de football. Ambiance.

One hundred and fifty children from the Jeunesse Sportive du Chemin-Bas d’Avignon (JSCBA) football school gathered around a bingo game at the André-Malraux sociocultural center on Saturday, December 21 to celebrate Christmas. A nice number when a total of three hundred members are members of the club. Discipline was rigorous and respected on this festive afternoon. It took a lot of attention not to miss a number. And to win one of the many prizes, all of quality, offered by the sponsors of the sports structure.

Seated at the back of the room, two people would not have missed this moment for anything in the world: Christiane Nébéker, wife of Claude, the founder of the now defunct club, and Younes El Amrani, former player and then coach. Christiane, aged 85, attends all the JSCBA events: “I am happy that the transmission is happening. My husband played a big role in this club.” Indeed, Claude Nébéker was an important figure for his commitments in the Chemin-Bas district and elsewhere. Younes continues: “The presence of many children at the club is an achievement in itself, beyond any sporting result.”

The president, Roselyne Ben Ali, supported in the past by Claude Nébéker for her activism, ensures that the transmission of values and skills continues: “We take advantage of sport to hold sessions on hygiene of life, with reminders throughout the year. Sports educators also benefit from training. We obtain some results in terms of performance: the U13s finished first in the departmental championship, and the U15s are off to a good start. The seniors are second in the Gard. Our partnership with the IBKM foundation (Inspired by Kylian Mbappé) opens up great prospects. Let's thank the volunteer parents, the Department, the City, Nîmes Métropole, the Youth and Sports department.” Sanae Afkour, sports instructor, is delighted: “The atmosphere is great, football has become my passion. And let's not forget that there are also girls' teams!”
