Samsung did everything to ensure that the brand was highlighted during the Olympic Games. Official sponsor of the event, the South Korean firm even presented a limited edition of its new folding smartphone, the Z Flip 6. It was offered to all the athletes (17,000 people) participating in the Olympic Games.< /p>

A gift that seems to leave many Olympic athletes cold, who have preferred to resell the phone on specialist sites such as Leboncoin or eBay. Several ads have appeared in recent days, with prices fluctuating between €1,200 (Samsung's normal retail price) and €2,300.

Some ads go even further and show the phone in its original box with the welcome message provided by Samsung to the athletes as well as the few goodies that go with it. For its part, the South Korean brand has not made any agreement with the athletes and resales are tolerated by the Asian firm.

She nevertheless specifies to our colleagues at Le Parisien that all the phones that were stolen from the athletes will be deactivated remotely. If you want to get your hands on one of these devices, you will have to make sure that the original owner of the phone is aware of the sale, and that he validates it.

Apple wants to overshadow Samsung

While Samsung managed to find a place of choice during the Olympic Games, notably taking its place on the podium with a “ instant selfie  », its historical rival Apple did not intend to let Samsung enjoy this moment of glory without overshadowing it.

So the apple brand had the brilliant idea of ​​highlighting its products with advertising posters displayed in the heart of Paris. These latter are in reality illustrations, made by the French illustrator Simon Landrein. They were drawn with the ProCreate application on the iPad Pro. A way to remember the artistic capabilities of the tablet, during this Olympic period.

These posters are visible in Paris, but also in Marseille, a city which hosts several events of the Olympic Games, including the sailing competitions.
