For their first match at the 2024 Olympics, LeBron James and Team USA took on Serbia (84-110)! With 23 and 21 points, Kevin Durant and LeBron James shone in this first match against Nikola Jokic and sent a message to the competition.

The Americans were too strong! After a very balanced start to the match, the match lasted less than a quarter against Serbia, until the appearance of the alien Kevin Durant. Author of a flawless shooting, the power forward scored no less than 21 points in nine minutes (8/8 shooting!). An idyllic start to the match for the Team USA player who allowed his teammates to switch to the lead the end of the first quarter (20-25). Same scenario in the following ten minutes where the Serbs try to rebel thanks to the inevitable Nikola Jokic, in vain and the Americans switch to the lead at the break after a huge fadeaway from Kevin Durant to give a nine-point lead (49-58).

After the locker room, the Americans raise the tone on the physical level and the gap increases in the score. After the third quarter, 19 points separate the two nations. A lead that will fly away in the last quarter. The Americans cross the 101-point mark and start the 2024 Olympics with a superb performance. Next match against South Sudan on Wednesday.
