2024 Paralympic Games medal table: France's final ranking, Tokyo record broken

Discover the final medal table of the Paralympic Games with the ranking of France which has broke the Tokyo gold medal record.

The medal table for the 2024 Paralympic Games has crowned the Chinese delegation with a very large lead, finishing at the top of this edition for the sixth consecutive time, with 94 titles (220 medals), ahead of Great Britain (49 gold) and the United States (36 gold). French, Les Bleus achieved their goal of entering the top 8 with 19 gold medals and 75 medals in total. They thus finished in 8th place in the Paralympic Games ranking, a goal set before the competition.

As with the Olympic Games, the medal goal for France was very high. “The ambition is the Top 8, to get France into the Top 8 of the Paralympic nations”, announced the president of the French Paralympic and Sports Committee (CPSF), Marie-Amélie Le Fur, on Monday, August 12, on Franceinfo. A very ambitious ranking that the French delegation had not achieved since Sydney in 2000 (7th, with 86 awards, including 30 gold). As a reminder,three years ago, in Japan, France finished 14th with 55 medals, including 11 gold, 15 silver and 29 bronze. The top three countries in the Tokyo Paralympic Games rankings were: China (207 medals, including 96 gold), Great Britain (124 medals, 41 gold) and the United States (104 medals, 37 gold). France, during this Paralympiad, will have pulverized the number of medals, in gold and in total, and is even very largely in the top 8 nations.
