De nombreux éleveurs aveyronnais seront à Paris une nouvelle fois pour présenter le meilleur de leur race. CPA
With a presence in Hall 1 and Hall 3, Aveyron intends once again to show the full extent of its agriculture at the Show, from February 22 to March 2, 2025.
The 61st edition of the Salon de l'agriculture is fast approaching. It will be held from February 22 to March 2, at the Porte de Versailles in Paris. And for once, Aveyron will be proudly represented. Its most famous breeds, Aubrac for cattle and Lacaune for sheep, will still be displayed in the famous Hall 1, not far from the muse of the year “Oupette”, a pretty Limousin mother, the breed in the spotlight this year. But it won't stop there because this year, the Aveyron farm has pulled out all the stops by also setting up in Hall 3, showcasing regional products and flavors.
The Chamber of Agriculture and the Department are renewing their partnership to showcase the best of the region on a 55 m2 stand. And good news this year, the vast majority of local exhibitors will be taking up positions all around. We will be able to find Maison Conquet and Jeune Montagne, famous Laguiole houses united to offer a catering point to the 600,000 or so expected visitors, various Roquefort producers whose AOP is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year (Coulet, Carles, La Pastourelle), the essential Salaisons Linard, the charcuterie from Maison Miquel and Fontalbat-Mazars, the charcuterie from Maison Miquel, the Saunier chocolate factory… and others!
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000Although the programme of events at the Aveyron stand has not yet been announced, it already promises to be a great edition, with the famous departmental day as the highlight. It will be held on Wednesday 26 February. A day during which animals will also be in the spotlight with the traditional Aubrac breed competition, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Eight animals from various Aveyron farms will be competing in the different categories: young cows and bulls, older cows and bulls, etc. The day before, there will also be three breeders from the area competing in the Simmental competition, a dairy breed. We can also note the presence of two Aveyron breeders (EARL Calmelly and Pierre Pouget) in the competitions of the star breed of the year: the Limousin.

In short, “a very nice week in perspective with our presence everywhere and every day!”, we are already rejoicing on the side of the chamber of agriculture. In the hope that the agricultural crisis, still tenacious, will not come to spoil the party, like last year. Already, the leaders of the Rural Coordination have warned: if there is no announcement before the opening day, where Emmanuel Macron had been particularly jostled in 2024,“this could go badly”… To be continued.
Remember: in 2023, when he had just taken the reins of the Department, Arnaud Viala decided to no longer participate in the Salon de l'agriculture, due to a dispute with the organizers over the official presence of the community in one hall or another… The decision, on the part of one of the main agricultural territories of France, had then caused a lot of ink to flow. Since then, the Department has decided to “go back up” to Paris, by joining forces with the Chamber of Agriculture. But would it have given ideas to others ?
This year, several departments of Occitanie will not be taking part in the celebrations. First of all, Lot and its usual popular stand: like Aveyron at the time, it also denounces the organization's decision not to give it free rein in Hall 1. “There are so many obligations that it is not satisfactory for us to present a stand without being able to promote our agricultural products and traditional agriculture, which is no longer a priority at this show”, explained the president of the community, the socialist Serge Rigal. In recent days, Haute-Garonne and Gers have also announced their absence for budgetary reasons. The first community indicated that this represented a saving of 130,000 €, 200,000 € for the second. The Department of Aveyron has not communicated on the amount invested.
