Breaking Bad has boosted tourism

While the series has made a lasting impression on viewers around the world, New Mexico, the state in which it was filmed, has benefited. It has been reported that a house used during production has been transformed into a popular Airbnb.

Some souvenir shops even sell items bearing the image of Breaking Bad (t-shirts, bath salts sold as blue meth), we learn Business Insider. Finally, a website allows visitors to plan their trips to go to the emblematic places of the show: we think in particular of the restaurant which houses the fictitious fast food: Los Pollos Hermanos by Gustavo Frings.< /p>

No, the series is not a tutorial on how to make drugs

In many episodes of < em>Breaking Bad, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are busy producing meth. But the series is intentionally unrealistic in this regard, as Donna Nelson, an organic chemist and scientific advisor to the series, explained to NPRin 2011:

This was actually one of a lot of people's concerns, but Vince Gilligan was very smart. If you just follow the summary as presented, you won't get any meth.

Bryan Cranston should not have had the role of Walter White

In 2012, our colleagues at Hollywood Reporter explained that Matthew Broderick and John Cusack were approached to obtain the main role in this fiction. They ultimately refused this offer, leaving AMC and Sony Pictures without a solution.

Finally, Vince Gilligan promoted Bryan Cranston because he remembered his performance in the series X-Files, and he didn't regret it. The showrunner commented as follows: “We needed someone who could be dramatic and scary but still have underlying humanity, so that when he dies, you feel sorry for him. Bryan’did it”.
