Le peloton autoroute de Gallargues et le peloton motorisé de Nîmes ont mené une opération de sécurisation des routes en ce dernier jour des vacances scolaires.

Successful coordinated speed control operation “back from vacation” for the Gallargues motorway platoon and the Nîmes motorized platoon this Sunday, January 5. From 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., a filter was installed at the Nîmes Est/Marguerittes toll booth with reinforcements from the Marguerittes brigade, the Nîmes surveillance and intervention platoon and the Nîmes canine investigation group.

Six licenses withdrawn

Three speeding violations between 40 and 50 km/h were noted; eleven speeding offences between 30 and 40 km/h and eighteen speeding offences between 20 and 30 km/h.

But also one failure to respect safety distances; one failure to wear a seat belt, as well as two driving offences under the influence of drugs and three fixed fines for drug use, including one driving offence under the influence of drugs with a suspended licence and one fixed fine for lack of insurance (i.e. 6 licence suspensions in total).
