Steven Spielberg's WTF Imitation on Set

Shooting a film with dinosaurs was not easy for the actors of the time. To help them immerse themselves in the atmosphere, Steven Spielberg tried to produce his own dinosaur sounds. Except that the latter did not appreciate this imitation at all.

According to Cinemablend, Sam Neill thus indicated: “It was funnier than anything else, and the challenge was mainly not to burst out laughing. It's not easy”.

A natural disaster complicated production

The filming of this first part was divided between two main sites. The first in the studios in Los Angeles and the second on the island of Kaua’i in Hawaii. And precisely, a hurricane named Iniki came to hit the production and the team had to stop everything for a day. Enough to review all the schedules and travel. Some images were however able to be shot in order to add a spectacular effect to the feature film.

The end should have been very different

According to Screenrant, the first versions of the script for Jurassic Park planned that one of the raptors should be pierced by a rib of the T. Rex skeleton. The other one was supposed to be hit by the skeleton's jaw falling.

Some members of the film crew found this sequence a bit disappointing and suggested to Steven Spielberg to liven things up a bit. Which explains this slightly more epic conclusion that has remained in the memories.
