DAZN and BeIN Sports have finally made their acquisition of Ligue 1 TV rights official. The price of subscriptions to the British streaming platform are now known, and they are likely to get football fans talking.

Officialization

Although their names have been known for a few weeks already, they had not yet been made official. This is now done. « Thanks to the unity of French football, we have reached two important agreements with DAZN and beIN Sports. The negotiations were intense because we wanted to reach agreements that would meet the interests of all clubs and that would allow French football to continue its development and increase its attractiveness », commented Vincent Labrune, president of the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP).

The manager initially hoped for an amount of around one billion dollars for the granting of the rights. They were finally sold for 500 million euros. In detail, DAZN obtained the broadcasting of 8 weekly matches out of 9 for around 400 million euros. BeIN Sports gets 100 million euros for the last match.

The price of a DAZN subscription has sparked much speculation. Initially, a sum of 40 euros per month was mentioned, then more recent rumors indicated a rate of 25 euros per month. Finally, the real cost is at the top of this range…

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

It stings…

Fasten your seatbelts. To access all Ligue 1 matches via the DAZN Unlimited Pack, you will have to pay 39.99 euros per month without commitment, or 29.99 euros per month with a one-year commitment. The Super Sports Pack, which will only grant access to one weekly match, will be offered at 19.99 euros per month without commitment and 14.99 euros per month with a one-year commitment.

For those who want to watch all of the Ligue 1 McDonald’s matches, you will probably have to spend an additional 15 euros per month with BeIN. The Qatari channel will broadcast Saturday matches at 5 p.m. as a priority, with fallback options on Friday at 8:45 p.m. or Sunday at 3 p.m., reports L’Équipe. BeIN will broadcast the best match on even days and the second on odd days.

The channel has negotiated a three-year contract, with a five-year extension option, which can be activated during the third season. For its part, DAZN will have to reach 1.5 million subscribers in two years for the French championship to be profitable. If the platform fails to do so, an exit clause could be activated in the summer of 2026.
