Bison Futé: Black Saturday on the roads, here are the latest forecasts for August 3

BISON FUTÉ 3 AOÛT. The day will be very disrupted on the roads with a new very large wave of departures on vacation. Here are the forecasts in the beginning eacute;tail.

Saturdays follow one another and look the same on the roads. Like July 27, Saturday August 3 is classified as black throughout France in the direction of departures. Bison Futé predicts very disrupted traffic on all the country's major roads and expects see hundreds of thousands of motorists take to the motorways towards the coast and traditional summer holiday destinations.

If you're not a very early riser, you could quickly find yourself stuck in traffic jams. For example, on the A7, near Lyon heading south, traffic will already be very disrupted at around six o'clock, as will the A10 from Paris to Orléans. These two major motorways will be busy for a good part of the day, like the A9 from Orange to Spain via Montpellier and Narbonne. In the region, the A61 will not be left out with difficulties expected to make the connection between Toulouse and Narbonne.

In Île-de-France, as almost always during the weekends of July and August, the first signs of slowdown will appear very early, with heavy traffic from the middle of the night on the A6B and A10 motorways. The peak should be reached towards the end of the morning before a gradual decrease in traffic and a return to normal expected in the early afternoon.

• On the A7, it is preferable to avoid travel between Lyon and Orange from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., and between Orange and Marseille from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• On the A9, avoid travel between Orange and Montpellier from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Montpellier and Narbonne from 10 a.m. to 8pm, and Narbonne and Spain from 9am to 6pm
• On the A10, difficulties are expected between Paris and Orléans from 6am to 11am, Orléans and Poitiers from 8am to 1pm, and Poitiers and Bordeaux from 10am to 2pm
• &Avoid the N12 as much as possible between Rennes and Morlaix from 4pm to 6pm
• For those planning to travel on the A63, it is advisable not to travel between Bordeaux and Spain from 10am to 12h
• On the A61, traffic will be very heavy between Toulouse and Narbonne from 10h to 16h
• On the A75, between Clermont-Ferrand and Béziers, critical times will be from 10h to 17h
• Finally, traffic will be difficult in the Mont-Blanc Tunnel (N205) between France and Italy from 10h to 14h

For the return, the forecasts are a little less pessimistic. The day is classified orange across the entire territory with the exception of the Île-de-France and the Mediterranean arc which are in red. The motorways coming from the south of the country (A7, A8, A9, A75) will be very busy throughout the day. In Île-de-France, there will be significant slowdowns at the various toll barriers.
