iPhone 17 Slim: What we know about Apple's next smartphone

Apple is considering a new approach with the launch of the iPhone 17 Slim scheduled for 2025. This model ;it would present a design change as one of its main attractions.

If the new iPhone 16 is fast approaching, next year will attract the attention of Apple brand loyalists. It promises to be rich in new features, thanks to a new iPhone 17 Slim or “Air”. With the iPhone 17 series, Apple will once again change the fourth iPhone. After the Mini of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series, and the Plus of the iPhone 14, iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 series, the new iPhone is starting to change. With the iPhone 17 Slim, Apple is trying to change its formula.

The Slim variant of the iPhone 17 will be positioned between the standard iPhone 17 and the Pro variants in terms of price. Apple is betting big on sales of this new format. The American brand wants to relaunch the variants after a poor commercial success. The idea is to create a kind of Slim version of the iPhone, something that sits between the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Pro. The most relevant comparison is probably to the MacBook Air more than a decade ago, which sat somewhere between the base MacBook and the MacBook Pro, says Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman.

A Thinner Design

From a design standpoint, the iPhone 17 Slim will be thinner than a standard iPhone. It would have a 6.6″ screen, larger than the 6.3″ iPhone 17 but smaller than the 6.9″ iPhone 17 Pro Max. It will share technical characteristics and it could have the cameras positioned in the center and not on one side of the phone. This new iPhone 17 Slim could boost sales for the American firm. What the Plus or Mini models failed to do.
