17:15 – The breakaway at the foot of the last climb

The 30 leading men begin the last climb of the day. The slowest in the sprint should take advantage of the puerto Cruxeiras (3rd category 2.9 km at 8.9%) to make the difference.

16:49 – Meurisse caught

The pursuers finally came to an agreement in the second stage of the race and the Belgian's minute lead melted into a few kilometers. Behind Movistar accelerated in the peloton to protect itself from a return of Bennett on the podium of the general.

16:25 – Xandro Meurisse still alone in the lead

The rider from the Alpecin – Deceuninck team is doing a hell of a number one lead, still one minute ahead of the rest of the breakaway. The peloton is at 6'25.

15:32 – The breakaway has formed

After a very fast start to the race, one man is in the lead, with a 40-second lead over a large breakaway of 36 riders. Guillaume Martin is notably in this group. The peloton is at 4'46 behind.

14:43 – A cannon start

Already 40 km covered while the race hour has not yet been reached. For the moment Marco Frigo is in the lead but with only a 20 second lead.

13:30 – Ben O'Connor should not be worried

Today's stage, despite four climbs, does not seem difficult enough to see major maneuvers among the favorites. However, be careful for the Decathlon-AG2R not to have a rider placed to the general take the breakaway, as O'Connor had done during the 6th stage.

11:30 – The profile of the 11th stage

After Wout Van Aert's victory yesterday in Baiona, the Belgian could well repeat this Wednesday on the 11th stage of the Vuelta. Four climbs are indeed on the programme over the 166 km, but the passes are less difficult than yesterday and the stage profile is even more suited to the rider qualities of Visma | Lease a Bike.
