In para table tennis, the pair Fabien Lamirault and Julien Michaud won bronze while in para swimming, Hector Denayer won a beautiful silver medal in the 100m breaststroke. The vice-champion of Europe in para taekwondo, Djelika Diallo will try in the K44 category of -65kg to get a place in the final.

French record, best time, second world performance of the year in 1'05'90, Hector Denayer dazzled the Parisian pools during his final of the 100m breaststroke. The Frenchman is now the Paralympic vice-champion in the SB9 category. The Paralympic champion is none other than the Italian legend Stefano Raimondi who achieved a time of 1:05:28.

It's time for the final for Hector Denayer who hopes to have a medal at the end of the 100m breaststroke final.

The French Clément Berthier and Esteban Herrault play against the British William Bayley and Martin Perry for a place in the semi-finals in doubles MD14.

19:04 – Les Bleus ahead of half-time

The French wheelchair basketball team went into the locker room leading by two points (41-39).

The French team still won a bronze medal, the sixth for the French team in these Paralympic Games and the first for table tennis.

Boccia champion Aurelie Aubert is leading in her BC1 individual match. She wins 2-0 against her Spanish opponent Amagoia Arrieta.

The objective for these 2024 Paralympic Games is quite high for the French delegation, which hopes to break all records as for the Olympic Games. "The objective is mainly gold medals, because that is what counts most in the ranking of nations," recalls Marie-Am&eacutelie Le Fur. "[…] I was asked if this was not a discounted ambition compared to the Olympic top 5. But we had so much deserted the performance, we came back from far. We were 14th in Tokyo; aiming for the top 8 means doubling the number of gold medals, so a real ambition,'' launched Marie-Am&eacutelie Le Fur, president of the French Paralympic Committee. As a reminder, in 2021, the French Paralympic delegation won 54 medals, including eleven Olympic titles.
