Seine-Saint-Denis: he refuses to comply and kills a man in his flight, the suspect wanted

A home delivery man is dead, hit by a motorist on his scooter who had refused to comply, this Thursday, in Rosny-sous-Bois. The reckless driver is on the run.

On the evening of Thursday, September 12, a refusal to comply led to tragedy in Rosny-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis). At around 10:30 p.m., a motorist refused to stop for a police check in Montreuil. After fleeing to escape the police, the latter hit a scooter that was coming towards him. The driver of the two-wheeler, a 40-year-old man, died instantly, indicated Bobigny prosecutor's office with Actu Paris.

The driver still on the run

Despite the rapid arrival of emergency services, the driver who was a delivery man for a home meal delivery company succumbed to his injuries “shortly after 11 p.m.”, according to Actu 17. The driver is still on the run. According to information from Actu Paris, the fleeing vehicle, a BMW X5, was found in flames in a park near the town hall of Rosny-sous-Bois, after a chase with a crew from the territorial contact brigade. The driver is said to have tried to to set it on fire before escaping on foot. The vehicle was “80% burned”, according to a source close to the case at Actu 17.
