Some of the cast members lived in shared accommodation during filming
Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman) explained in an interview that he lived in a house he bought with his wife in Albuquerque. During production, he hosted some of the cast members. Among them were Rhea Seehorn (Kim Wexler) and other actors.
He explained:
It's better than being alone away from home. I think we all feel that way. We're very good at leaving each other alone.

Better Call Saul was supposed to be a comedy
The show has some very funny moments. But it also frequently borrows from the register of tragedy and drama. In an interview with the magazine Rolling Stone, Vince Gilligan said:
When we first started to concoct the idea of a spinoff series, we literally thought it was going to be a half-hour show… and then we thought it was going to be an hour… but it was going to be a really funny hour. I said Breaking Bad is 25% comedy and 75% drama, and maybe it's going to be the other way around.
The iconic characters would show up at Saul Goodman's office and tell him their crazy problems. It's up to him to solve them.
The character of Saul Goodman has an unexpected origin
Bob Odenkirk revealed that he was inspired by his first agent Ari Emmanuel to concoct his character. Quoted by Looper, he thus estimates: “He tries to manipulate them into doing what he wants. And I think that's true for a lot of agents: they're aware of a certain storyline that they can sell, you know.”.
