Leslie and Kevin case: Investigation details reveal extreme violence of murders

Leslie and Kévin have & oacute;summer killed in November 2022. Two years after the events, a reconstruction is organized returning to the violent scene which led to the death ;s of the young couple.

Since Wednesday evening, October 2, the authorities have organized a reconstruction in the village of Prahecq, in Deux-Sèvres, to better understand the circumstances of the death of Leslie and Kévin. On November 26, 2022, this young couple, around twenty years old, had disappeared. They were unreachable and untraceable for weeks. The couple had, in reality, been savagely killed. Their bodies were found four months later, a few dozen kilometers away in Puyravault, in Charente-Maritime.

Five people were subsequently arrested, including several relatives. Four of them were placed in pre-trial detention for “murder, kidnapping and sequestration”. The fifth accused of “concealment of a corpse and modification of a crime scene” was released. For the reconstruction, they were taken back to the home where they are suspected of having organized the ambush against Leslie and Kévin.

That day, the two young people were returning to the home of their friend Tom Trouillet, the main suspect. They were supposed to spend the night there. Tom then allegedly faked a call to a friend to go out, according to one of the hypotheses put forward by investigators. According to this version, which constitutes the priority line of investigation, the suspects could have set up this scheme in order to get his accomplices who were waiting outside to enter. According to the investigation, reported by Le Parisien, the couple were then attacked with machetes and hammers. After the attack, Leslie and Kevin were allegedly locked in a trunk, unconscious. During a stop on the way, the young woman allegedly received no fewer than thirty stab wounds. Blows that would be the cause of his death.

Who delivered the fatal blow ?

The reconstruction replays this sordid scene and should above all make it possible to determine the organization of the five suspects. This includes knowing who delivered the fatal blow, the suspects constantly shifting the blame to others. “Today, everyone has more or less acknowledged their participation in the events. The goal now is to determine who struck which blows with which weapons and who ultimately delivered the fatal blows,” explains Me Orane Quáeacutenot, lawyer for one of the accused at TF1.

Two motives are also being considered: Kávin owed 30,000 euros to his friend following a drug trafficking case and/or a sentimental motive, Tom being described as being in love with Leslie in the depositions in the case.
