Joker (TF1, 9:10 p.m.)

Todd Phillips made his mark in 2019 with this feature film dedicated to Batman's best enemy. We delve into the tormented origins of this character who is then called Arthur Fleck.

This man, in difficulty, gradually ends up sinking into madness before our eyes. Joaquin Phoenix impresses and literally steals the show. He knows how to be gentle, endearing, but also pathetic, dangerous, even ultra-violent. We'll let you discover this feature film, the sequel to which has just been released in cinemas.

Kompromat (France 2, 9:10 p.m.)

It is 1961. In the context of the Cold War, a Soviet nuclear submarine is the victim of a damage near the American coast. The stakes are high, because, while the mood is not good among the crew, a nuclear accident could trigger a chain reaction that would lead to a global catastrophe.

Kathryn Bigelow has made a remarkable film here and she can also count on the talent of seasoned actors including Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson, Peter Sarsgaard, Christian Camargo, and Peter Stebbings.

That's all for this week. Note, if these three films are not to your taste, that there will be other feature films this Sunday evening on TNT, including Les Bronzés (TF1, 11:20 p.m.), La Croisière (TFX, 9:05 p.m.), and Paris à tout prix (W9, 9:10 p.m.). You can also catch up on last week's gems in replay by rereading our previous article here.
