Axe fight on the RER E: what happened in Seine-et-Marne ?

A fight broke out this Monday morning on the RER E, in Ozoir-la-Ferrière, in Seine-et-Marne. Four people were injured, two of them seriously.

This Monday, November 4, around 8 a.m., a fight broke out on the RER E at Ozoir-la-Ferrière station (Seine-et-Marne), AFP learned from a police source. Four people were injured at blows with an axe, two of them seriously. In fact, one of the victims had his hand cut off and another had his skull split open with an axe. Two other people were more lightly injured.

No interruption of traffic

The brawl involved several people including minors. However, the reason for this violent altercation has not yet been determined. The fight took place while the train was in platform. According to a police source, an intervention is underway.

On X, the RER account speaks of an "altercation on board a train". "Traffic is disrupted&eacute between Haussmann Saint-Lazare and Tournan (Seine-et-Marne) in both directions of traffic,” it was specified. “Neither the traffic of the RER E nor that of the station is impacted,” the SNCF indicated for its part.
