Apple is reportedly preparing a completely new type of product after the Vision Pro failure

An internal investigation at Apple appears to reveal that the company is very interested in a new product to focus on.

Apple seems to want to focus on augmented and virtual reality in the coming years. After the semi-failure of the Vision Pro headset, the firm reportedly launched a questionnaire for its employees to consider a new product. In this questionnaire, Apple asks several employees to confirm studies on the connected glasses segment.

It must be said that the market has been booming since the small success of the collaboration between Ray-Ban and Meta. Although these smart glasses are more expensive than classic Ray-Ban frames, they appeal to many users due to their functions that allow them to take photos, videos or listen to music.

A success that does not intend to stop there since last September, Mark Zuckerberg unveiled a new prototype of augmented reality smart glasses: the Orion project. The latter, the image of the Apple Vision Pro headset, allows users to display windows and interfaces using small integrated LED projectors. A product that is however only at the project stage and will take several more years to be developed.

On Apple's side, this is not the first time that the company has looked at connected glasses. The firm seems to be carrying out more and more studies on the subject, but we will certainly have to wait many years before being able to get our hands on a version marketed to the general public.
