Touching confidences… A little over three months after the death of his father, Anthony Delon was invited in the show Le Figaro la nuit, on Figaro TV, Sunday, December 1, 2024. The opportunity for the son of Alain and Nathalie Delon to discuss his grief, his beliefs, but also his childhood. “You remembered what you wanted to do in life when you were a child ?”, he asked the journalist Thibaut Gauthier.
“I had a lot of jobs in my sights”, assured the actor, before slipping in having had a dream that he had not managed to fulfil. “At first I wanted to be a neurologist, do brain surgery, to be able to save my parents and treat them“, he said, before adding: “Afterwards I wanted to be a veterinarian. There I got hooked quite a bit, I worked for two years at a great veterinarian (…) Then, there was the natural selection of the school. As I was bad at math and you had to pass a bac C to be a veterinarian, well anyway… Afterwards I dropped out and I didn't know what that I wanted to do”.

Thursday, January 21, 2021, Anthony Delon lost his mother, Nathalie, to pancreatic cancer. A week after her death, it was in the columns of Paris Match that he had indicated : “She was a lioness in a sparrow's body. Small, fine, endowed with great culture, a subtle intelligence and also with vital energy, an extraordinary physical and mental strength. No one could ever get in her way, nor decide for her. She was someone solar”.
&Evoking the day when her mother had learned that she had pancreatic cancer, Anthony Delon recalled: “She turned to me: 'I'm 78 years old, I had a blast, and I don't want to waste away with chemo, watch myself die'”, before specifying: “She had just been told that she was going to die and, she confided to me afterwards, her first thought had été: 'Shit! Anthony is there, he heard everything.' She protected me once again, like a child over whose eyes his mother puts a hand, to prevent him from seeing the blood”.
Anthony Delon: “Grieving takes time”
Sunday, October 20, 2024, on RTL, Anthony Delon had mentioned the death of his father and mourning in general. “Grieving takes time, things fall into place. There are ups and downs naturally. It's never easy. I'm an orphan, I have no one left”, he assured.
While he has three daughters, Lou (born in 1996), Liv (born in 2001) and Alyson (born in 1986), the actor assured êbeing very lonely and having lost his bearings following the disappearances of his parents and Mireille Darc. “All the people who built my life, who made me what I became, are all gone. It takes time to get used to all this“, he had declared.
