If she doesn't want to join the government, Karine Le Marchand, on the other hand, wants to give his full support to farmers, as journalist Amandine Bégot points out: “In any case, on the other hand, you support them.”
A remark confirmed by the M6 presenter: “We mustn't wait for politicians. We can clearly see that politicians have done absolutely nothing for years for agriculture”, explained the presenter. “Now, we have to take it on with the industry and distributors. So I created a petition that is growing quickly”, she indicated. “I've already been contacted by two major brands so I think things will change.”
The presenter puts a petition online
Remember, a few months ago, when French farmers were on the streets, Karine Le Marchand gave them her support. And it's not over, since she has just launched a petition called “So that distributors help us save French agriculture”.
“I am speaking on behalf of all of us, citizens and consumers, to urgently ask distributors to provide concrete and lasting support to those who fill our plates”, she wrote in the description of this petition which has already been signed by thousands of French people. So even if she is not part of the new government, Karine Le Marchand wants to engage with farmers and not abandon them.
