An after-school activity leader accused of raping a minor was able to continue accompanying students even though a complaint had been filed. A case that dates back to September.
A real flaw in the system. On September 18, a mother filed a complaint against an after-school activity leader at the Christine-de-Pisan nursery school, located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. She went to the police after her 5-year-old daughter claimed to have been raped by the man who is accused.

For all that , the accused was able to practice for several days and was only dismissed on September 27, reveals Le Parisien. Why wasn't he fired earlier while he was still working with children ? For parents of students at this school, many questions remain unanswered and point to a failure of the system .
A story of authority
“How is it possible to leave a (presumed) minor victim facing his tormentor ?”, a father asks with dismay. The daily reminds us that the teaching staff has no authority over a facilitator, but that it is up to the Paris city hall to act when the information is communicated. “For any report relating to a suspicion of a serious act and as soon as the latter is known, the officer in question is removed from the field without delay. The child's words are taken into account”, states the City of Paris.
The family ended up transmitting “the complaint to the school director, who alerted the district of school affairs and early childhood (Caspe)”, reports Le Parisien, while she continued to see the man alongside minors. “There was a fault on the part of the police. According to protocol, we should have been notified by them immediately after the mother's hearing”, chant the elected officials.
The presenter was finally suspended on September 27. A late sanction. Geoffroy Boulard, the LR mayor of the 17th arrondissement of the capital, indicated that he had contacted the police station to understand what happened. On the Caspe side, a simplification of the system could be considered: “We could simplify our protocol so that these moral cases are given even greater priority.”
