If you are a recipient of RSA or you receive the activity bonus, you will have to take an additional step to be able to connect to your account from December 10. If you are unable to access it, you will no longer be able to update your income and therefore receive this assistance. Here is everything you need to know about this new feature.

Double authentication becomes mandatory

Faced with the increasing risks of hacking online, the Family Allowance Fund (CAF) will implement double authentication. As the organization explains on its website:

This is a two-step verification. Already present on the Health Insurance website or those of many banks, double authentication provides additional protection for your account.

In concrete terms, beneficiaries will therefore have to enter a 6-digit code that will be sent to them by email in addition to their usual password. To prevent abuse, the latter will only be valid for a limited period of time.

The CAF offers an even faster procedure for those who wish:

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

If you are used to using the CAF – My Account mobile application (available on Android and iOS) to carry out your procedures, you can activate facial or digital recognition on your phone to avoid the code step. Biometrics allows the identification of a person using data specific to each individual and unique to each individual. It replaces the verification code.

Adopt the right reflexes

Finally, the organization suggests that its beneficiaries adopt healthy habits to avoid fraud. In particular, it is advisable to change your password regularly and not use the same ones on several services. In addition, never give your login details to a dubious contact and never click on links in emails or text messages.

Finally, be wary of messages that are too alarmist or that, on the contrary, promise you an enticing reward. This is indeed a preferred way for cybercriminals to deceive your vigilance.

As a reminder, last February, following a data leak on the dark web, thousands of beneficiaries' accounts were visited. Since then, the CAF has forced users to change their passwords if they wish to reconnect. She also offered tutorials for people who might have difficulty doing this. To learn more, feel free to reread our previous article here.

What to remember:

  • Users will have to pass two-factor authentication to connect to their CAF account from December 10
  • The organization wants to strengthen user protection
  • It takes the opportunity to give common sense advice to beneficiaries
