It was via a video posted on Instagram this Sunday, December 8, 2024 that Vaimalama Chaves and Nicolas Fleury revealed the sad news to their subscribers. The former lovebirds, who had been living the perfect love since 2019, explained having thought long and hard before making this difficult but necessary decision for their respective well-being.

A breakup by mutual agreement ?

While the speech is intended to be calm and mature, some Internet users have nevertheless noted the sadness that could be read on Nicolas Fleury's face. Indeed, at the end of the video, the young man takes a long time to leave the camera's field, his gaze down and his air dejected, contrasting with the more detached attitude of Vaimalama who quickly disappears after a brief kiss on the cheek.

Unwavering support for 5 years

Very present at his sweetheart's side, including in difficult moments like when she started bodybuilding, Nicolas Fleury will now have to grieve this relationship. A mourning made even more complicated by the 5 years of intense love experienced by the couple.

Subscribers, although saddened by this unexpected announcement, mostly expressed their understanding and sent their best wishes to the two exes. Some, however, did not fail to highlight Nicolas' apparent difficulty in accepting this supposedly consensual breakup. The future will tell whether the former lovers will be able to stay on good terms as they wish.

Vaimalama has a head full of projects

While this separation marks a turning point in the personal life of the former Miss France, the 28-year-old does not intend to let herself get down. In recent months, the Tahitian beauty queen has been making a number of public appearances, as evidenced by her conspicuous presence at the Instagram Halloween Party at the Hotel Le Marois on October 31, 2024, or at the Peninsula Winter Gala at the end of November 2024.

More recently, she also walked the red carpet at the premiere of Avatar: The Way of Water at the Grand Rex in Paris, proving that her social life remains very active despite this period of personal transition.
