Due to insufficient medical staff, the Alès-Cévennes Hospital Center (Chac) is forced to regulate its opening hours this Wednesday, December 11.

Still due to a lack of medical staff and “despite efforts to find replacement doctors“, the management of the Chac is forced to regulate its opening hours.

Regulation from Wednesday, December 11 to Thursday, December 12

This week, there are many regulation periods. After this Monday, December 9, the hospital is forced to modify the reception and admissions of the public to the Emergency Department from Wednesday, December 11, 2024, 5 p.m., to Thursday, December 12, 6:30 a.m.

The successive regulations are the consequence of a problem of recruitment of personnel in the department, following the retirement of a doctor, and the absence, for maternity and sick leave, of two other practitioners.

The Chac invites anyone to dial 15 before going to the hospital. However, those arriving on site will be taken care of and examined, then redirected “according to their situation“. However, vital emergencies will be provided 24 hours a day for pregnant women and for the gynecological service.
