Brazilian President Lula underwent surgery on Monday night for an “intracranial hemorrhage” following a fall at his home in October.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, 79, underwent surgery overnight from Monday to Tuesday for an “intracranial hemorrhage” and “is doing well”, the Syrian-Lebanese hospital in Sao Paulo announced on Tuesday.

No complications

“The operation was completed without complications”, the hospital said in a statement posted on Lula's Instagram account. The hemorrhage is related to the domestic accident suffered by Lula on October 19, the same source added.
